Comm. Noel Tyler

Noel Tyler was appointed by Governor Stitt on January 29, 2026. 

She is a retired executive leader with a distinguished career in public service and healthcare. After serving in the U.S. Air Force and relocating to Oklahoma in 1980, she spent two decades in the medical field before joining the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services in 2000.

She served in senior leadership roles, including Director, until her retirement in 2018. From 2000 to 2016, she served as Division Administrator of Disability Determination Services, where she led major modernization, advocated for the co-location of the SSA Oklahoma Cooperative Disability Investigation Unit, and earned national recognition for program accuracy and performance. Noel was a member of a Leadership Oklahoma Class and has received multiple state and federal leadership awards for her community and public service.

Raised in Canton, Ohio, she is an alumni of John Carroll University and a University of Oklahoma graduate.
