Siv Sundaram
Environmental Programs Division Manager

Siv Sundaram was named Division Engineer for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s Environmental Programs Division in July 2016. In her new role she will be responsible for integrating environmental considerations and regulatory requirements into ODOT's transportation programs and operations.

Sundaram began her career with ODOT in 1994 as a Professional Engineer then worked in the Local Government Division as Area Engineer and Specification Engineer in the Office of Engineers Division.  Sundaram then became an Engineering Manager for Divisions 1 and 8 in the Roadway Design Division until 2005. She then was Assistant Division Engineer for the Planning and Research Division until 2007 and then held the position of Assistant Division Engineer for Environmental Programs Division until her recent promotion.

Sundaram holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of India- Madras and a master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She is a registered Professional Engineer in both Oklahoma and California and has won numerous awards for excellence in concrete and asphalt pavement in roadway.

She and her husband, Dr. Muralee Muraleetharan, have two daughters. Sundaram was born in Sri Lanka and currently resides in Norman.
