Keith Sorsdal

Keith Sorsdal was named Human Resources Director for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in May 2023. Most recently, he served as the Department’s Transportation Cabinet Safety Manager.

Before joining the Department of Transportation, he served as the Director of Safety & Risk Management for the Vallejo Flood & Wastewater District in Vallejo California, and previous to that, as the Collection System Manager for the Napa Sanitation District in Napa California.

Prior to Keith starting his career as a public employee, he served 26 years in the United States Military as a Naval rescue swimmer, and Air Force Officer; serving four tours in support of operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Keith holds certifications in Human Behavior Analysis, DISC Personality Assessments, Emotional Intelligence, and the 6 Types of Working Genius.   Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Florida.

Keith, along with his wife Tina, and their two sons live in Choctaw.
