Randy Woods
Roadway Engineer
Randy Woods was named Roadway Design Engineer at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in July 2022.
He joined ODOT as an engineer-in-training in 2009 working his way up to engineering manager in 2014. Woods became a Professional Engineer in 2014 and served as the interim Roadway Design Engineer for nearly a year prior to his promotion.
As the Roadway Design Engineer, Woods is in charge of supporting design teams on projects focusing on roadway and traffic control design, oversight of consultant contracts and negotiations and coordinating with other divisions on modernization initiatives.
Woods was born in Oklahoma City and holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an associate degree in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting from Oklahoma City Community College. Woods is an active member of the AASHTO Committee on Design.
