Anthony Echelle
District Two Engineer
Anthony Echelle, District Engineer for ODOT’s District Two in Antlers, has been with the department since 1997.
Shortly after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, he joined the McAlester residency as an Engineer-in-Training and became the resident engineer in 2004. Echelle also served as the resident engineer at the Wewoka residency in 2006. After working in the private-sector as a consultant, he returned to the McAlester residency as the resident engineer.
In 2008, he became the District Four construction engineer in Perry, where he managed the construction of the new I-40 Crosstown in Oklahoma City. In 2012, Echelle was chosen to serve as the District Engineer for Division Two, which oversees construction and maintenance activities on highways in Atoka, Bryan, Choctaw, Latimer, LeFlore, Marshall, McCurtain, Pittsburg and Pushmataha counties in southeastern Oklahoma.
Echelle was born in McAlester and graduated from Kiowa High School in 1994. His father, Condo Echelle, worked for ODOT at the McAlester residency for 35 years before retiring and his cousin, Joe Echelle, is executive staff at the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.
Echelle and his wife, Christina, have three children, Anna, Jacob and Tyler.
