PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING for SH-99 in Pawnee County, OK
Where | When |
Old School Community Center 211 E Wichita Avenue Cleveland, OK 74020 |
Date: February 18th, 2016 Time: 6:00 PM |
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), is considering improvements to the bridge and approaches on SH-99 over Arkansas River just north of Cleveland between Osage and Pawnee Counties.
The project is currently scheduled to be let for construction in Federal Fiscal Year 2020 and will necessitate closure of the bridge and the approach roadway on State Highway 99. It is anticipated that the road closure will last approximately 240 days, with incentives and disincentives to reduce the closure time. We are considering using the following as a state highway detour during the bridge closure: Southbound - From Junction of SH-99 and SH-20, proceed west on SH-20 to Junction SH-20/SH-18, then south on SH-18 to Junction SH-18/US-64, then east on US-64 to SH-99 (approximately 67 miles maximum). Once the project is let for construction, information on actual date of closure and duration of closure can be obtained from the ODOT Field Division at (918) 838-9933.
A public meeting to present initial project information and receive public input regarding the closure will be held at 6:00 p.m. on February 18, 2016 at the Old School Community Center located at 211 East Wichita Avenue in Cleveland, Oklahoma. The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public and solicit comments about the Department’s proposed bridge closure.
