Bob Peterson
Bob Peterson was re-appointed to District 8 Commissioner by Gov. Stitt in April 2019, previously appointed by Gov. Fallin in August 2018. He will represent northeastern Oklahoma, which includes the Tulsa metro area.
Peterson is chairman and chief executive officer of Melton Truck Lines, a long-haul flatbed trucking company headquartered in Tulsa.
Peterson served as past executive vice president of operations at Contract Freighters Inc., of Joplin, and past president of GlasTran Inc., a company he initially founded before merging with Melton in 1991.
He earned a bachelor of arts in economics and environmental studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
Peterson and his family live in Tulsa.
