Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board
The Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA) serves as the regulatory authority board over persons offering speech-language pathology and audiology services to the public. The purpose of our agency is to safeguard the public health, safety and welfare by implementing rules and laws for all licensees to follow. Founded in 1973, this agency provides oversight to ensure applicants possess the necessary academic and clinical requirements for licensure as a speech pathologist, audiologist, assistant or intern; collects licensure and annual renewal fees; reviews complaints; and disciplines licensees.
