Oklahoma Health Care Authority

The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) administers Oklahoma's Medicaid program, commonly known as SoonerCare. SoonerCare works to improve the health of qualified Oklahomans by ensuring medically necessary benefits and services are available. Qualifying Oklahomans include certain low-income children, adults, families, those with disabilities, those being treated for breast or cervical cancer, and those seeking family planning services. The agency is currently working to transform the Medicaid delivery in Oklahoma through the SoonerSelect program, which is a value-based payment model that will improve the health outcomes of SoonerCare members. OHCA also oversees the Oklahoma State Health Information Exchange and Insure Oklahoma, which supports small businesses’ efforts to provide health insurance for their employees. OHCA contracts with approximately 70,000 medical and dental providers to serve more than 1.2 million SoonerCare members.
