Purpose

The purpose of the meeting is to obtain information from the public to further assist in the identification of critical social, economic and environmental effects that may result from potential improvements in the future. The meeting will include a presentation about the potential improvements to the I-40/I-40B (Gary Boulevard) interchange at Exit 65 as well as the intersection at Gary Boulevard with Lexington/Oliver Avenue. This will include why the improvements are needed, the type of improvements under consideration, and the potential impacts to motorists and the surrounding community for each of the conceptual alternatives.

Description

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the City of Clinton, is studying improvements to the I-40/I-40B interchange within the City of Clinton. These improvements will likely effect and include the intersection at Gary Boulevard and Lexington/Oliver Avenue, Red Wheat Drive, Boulevard of Champions, and Chapman Road.

As part of our efforts to keep the public informed of this project and involved in the decision making process, ODOT has scheduled a public meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to present the conceptual design alternatives being considered, the potential impacts on motorists and the surrounding community and to obtain input from the public on priorities that may result from potential improvements in the future.
