Description
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is proposing to improve the intersection of US-81 and SH-7 between Marlow and Duncan in Stephens County. SH-7 has heavy eastbound left turning truch traffic and a lane terminates at Medcalf Street. The intertsection is much higher than Medcalf Street, which can cause sight distance issues for drivers. The purpose of the project is to improve intersection safety and operations.
The preliminary alternatives are being evaluated baserd on traffic considerations, safety, land use considerations, drainage impacts, utility impacts, and cost. Three intersection alternatives are presented for feedback as part of this meeting.
