Updated statewide contract descriptions

To improve consistency and tracking, all statewide contracts in PeopleSoft have been updated with a new naming convention:

  • SW: Stands for statewide.
  • Four-digit number: Identifies the specific statewide contract.
  • M: Indicates the statewide contract is mandatory.
  • SU: Indicates the contract is State Use (all of which are mandatory).
  • No letter: Indicates a non-mandatory, or suggested, statewide contract.

The Statewide Contract Designations webpage lists each contract along with its designation.

House Bill 2164

House Bill 2164, effective Nov. 1, introduces major reforms to Oklahoma's procurement and ethics laws by enacting several new statutes and amending several existing ones to increase transparency, prevent conflicts of interest and strengthen accountability.

A CPO Announcement will be distributed later this week with guidance and resources to help agencies comply with the new legislative requirements in this bill.

DRS Business Enterprise Program

The Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) Business Enterprise Program (BEP) is federally funded through the Randolph-Sheppard Act of 1936. The act was instituted to provide blind persons with remunerative employment, expand their economic opportunities and encourage self-sufficiency by providing opportunities to operate vending facilities in federal, state and local buildings.

State agencies may partner with BEP via interagency agreements.
