Vital Statistics

Vital statistics records are used by multiple organizations for a variety of purposes including the Social Security Administration for legal and administrative records, state agencies to plan and evaluate programs, as well as by researchers to look at health outcomes and population growth. In Oklahoma, these data are evaluated to address health issues such as: improving birth outcomes, causes of death (leading, infant deaths, stillbirth, childhood deaths), and identify areas of high risk for teenage pregnancies.
