Infection Prevention and Control Recommendations for Health-Care Providers” (05/08/23): This guidance provides a framework for facilities to implement select infection prevention and control practices (e.g., universal source control) based on their individual circumstances (e.g., levels of respiratory virus transmission in the community). This guidance is applicable to all U.S. settings where health care is delivered (including nursing homes and home health). This guidance is not intended for non-health care settings (e.g., restaurants) and not for persons outside of health care settings.

“Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training”: The Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training course is designed for individuals responsible for infection prevention and control (IPC) programs in nursing homes.

The course was produced by CDC in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Nursing Home/LTC Facility Notifications

  • Nursing Home Occupancy Reports - The data from the Quality of Care Reports received from the OHCA are compiled and published into the following occupancy reports by the Quality Improvement and Evaluation Service of the OSDH.  Each report is sorted by facility type, then county.  Any person interested in pursuing certificate of need approval for a bed expansion or a new nursing facility may rely on these occupancy statistics.
