What We Do
Child Care Services (CCS) is dedicated to ensuring that every family in Oklahoma has access to licensed, affordable, and high-quality child care. As the statewide authority on child care regulation and inspection, we support providers in maintaining compliance, building strong teams and continuously raising the bar for care standards.
Our efforts are fueled by federal funding through the Child Care Development Block Grant, enabling us to invest in programs that uplift children, strengthen families and enrich communities.
At the heart of CCS is a dedicated team focused on improving both the quality and accessibility of child care. We work hand-in-hand with providers, stakeholders, and community partners to build inclusive, affordable child care solutions that meet the diverse needs of Oklahoma families.
Through our Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS), we equip child care programs with the tools, training and resources they need to grow and succeed. QRIS empowers families to make informed decisions by identifying programs that foster nurturing, enriching environments — laying the foundation for every child’s success and school readiness.
