Oklahoma Arts Council Grants
Public funding for the arts is an investment in Oklahoma communities. As the leader for the arts, the Oklahoma Arts Council provides grant funding to support arts programming, arts education, and access to the arts for all Oklahomans. From local festivals and school-based residencies to arts learning for all ages, the arts thrive in communities large and small with support from the Oklahoma Arts Council.
Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants include:
- Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations

- Public libraries
- Local government agencies
- PreK–12 schools
- Colleges and universities
Eligibility varies by grant program. Applicants must be based in Oklahoma and must operate arts programs that are accessible to the public.
Eligibility Verification
Before applying for a grant, organizations must complete an Eligibility Verification Request through the Oklahoma Arts Council grant portal.
This process allows agency staff to review your organization’s qualifications and determine eligibility for funding. You’ll be asked to submit key organizational documents, provide information about your programming, and complete your user and organization profiles in the grant portal.
Note: This is not a grant application. Completing the eligibility verification is required before you can access or submit grant applications in the portal.
The eligibility review process may take up to 15 days. Once verified, your organization will receive confirmation and full access to apply for grants.
If you have questions during this process, contact the Grants Office at grants@arts.ok.gov.
