National Digital Connectivity and
Lifeline Awareness Week
Occurs Annually after Labor Day in September
The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates (NASUCA), and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), have designated the first week after Labor Day as National Digital Connectivity and Lifeline Awareness Week. This year's observance is September 8-14, 2024.
The purpose of National Digital Connectivity and Lifeline Awareness Week is to ensure that eligible low-income families and individuals are aware of the Federal Programs and their eligibility criteria, non-duplication rules, and annual recertification requirements. National Digital Connectivity and Lifeline Awareness Week also serves as a way to encourage enrollment in these Federal Programs. The National Digital Connectivity and Lifeline Programs provide vulnerable families and adults with a connection to voice and broadband services that allows them to stay in contact with vital emergency services and community resources.
