63 O.S. § 103a.1 establishes the Consumer Protection Licensing Advisory Council. This council is made up of seven members consisting of:
A licensed radiologist assistant (Governor appointment)
A licensed audiologist (Governor appointment)
A licensed radiologist (Senate Pro Temp appointment
A representative of the hearing-aid-fitting industry (Senate Pro Temp appointment)
A representative of the medical micropigmentation industry (Speaker of the House appointment)
A representative of the hearing-impaired public (Speaker of the House appointment)
A representative of a diagnostic x-ray facility (Commissioner of Health appointment)
Members are appointed for three-year terms. The jurisdiction of the council includes the hearing-aid-fitting industry, the medical micropigmentation industry, and the radiation industry. The council has authority to discuss issues relevant to and make recommendations for rule promulgation in its area of jurisdiction.
The council must meet at least twice per year and no more than four times. Members serve without compensation.
