Chronic Disease Prevention Services

About 61% of all deaths in Oklahoma in 2019 were caused by chronic diseases.  That’s around one person every 20 minutes.  Unhealthy habits lead to chronic disease.  The Chronic Disease Prevention Service provides programs and support to reduce the risk of chronic diseases for all Oklahomans.

Mission: To advance population health and prevent chronic disease by transforming policies, systems, and environments.
Vision: To promote an equitable quality of life for all Oklahomans.
