Oklahoma Child Abuse Prevention Action Committee (CAP Action)

The vision of the CAP Action Committee is a state that is free from child abuse and neglect through working together with state and community partners and families to form a strong network to protect and strengthen children and families.

Developing & Sustaining a Parent Advisory Committee Community of Practice (PAC CoP)

The PAC CoP provides a forum for Oklahoma professionals who work with, or would like to develop, a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). The CoP empowers professionals with strategies and tools to maximize the potential of parent leadership/lived experience.

Family Support Provider Community of Practice (FSP CoP)

The mission of this CoP is to lead, advise and advocate for the field of family support with unwavering commitment to strengthening families, promoting provider well-being and fostering inclusive communities. We aim to validate members' experiences and skills through comprehensive support, to nurture the resilience of providers and families. This community of practice is for anyone who works with children and families.

Strengthening Families Together Collaborative

Agencies are more likely to achieve positive outcomes for children and families when they collaborate with key stakeholders to strengthen families, prevent maltreatment, and avoid the unnecessary removal of children from their homes. This collaboration involves forming strong, active partnerships with various entities, including other agencies, private foundations, community organizations, families and youth.

By leveraging each other's expertise, partners can identify and address service gaps, optimize funding opportunities and ensure seamless service delivery for families. Through such collaboration, state child-serving agencies can transition from a traditionally siloed approach to a more integrated and equitable system that empowers and strengthens all families.

The Collaborative hosts meetings twice a year to engage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in discussions about redesigning service delivery systems. Through this collective effort, the organizers aim to streamline services, enhance coordination among agencies and address systemic barriers that impede the provision of comprehensive support to communities throughout the state.

Oklahoma Family Support Network

The OFSN is an evolving network that is a member of the National Family Support Network. The network currently consists of 13 members serving 37 counties across Oklahoma. The OFSN is open for membership to agencies or individuals in the field of family support.

Populations that are focused on through the network include but are not limited to:

  • Multigenerational families
  • All parents and caregivers (fathers, grandparents, foster parents etc.
  • Members of underserved or underrepresented groups
